As a sole trader, I am not required to do a COVID-19 risk assessment. However, in the interests of safety, I have gone through the exercise and this is a summary of the outcomes...
- General risk of transmission.
- Description: Working in proximity to customers and the public.
- Mitigation:
- Covid test to be taken by the photographer before photography on days with bookings.
- Social distancing will be followed as per the government guidelines.
- Risk due to operating indoors.
- Description: At times it's necessary to enter customer homes or other indoor locations. It has been shown that there is an increased risk of Covid transmission when indoors compared to outside.
- Mitigation:
- In addition to existing steps, a face covering will be worn at all times indoors.
- If possible, ventilation will be maximised by the opening of windows.
- Transferace risk with photography props.
- Description: Props may be provided by Freeze Life Pictures for the purposes of the photography service provided. The handling of these items from person to person poses a potential increased risk of transmission.
- Mitigation:
- All props provided will be cleaned before and after a photography event.
- Freeze Life Pictures will provide hand sanitiser for people to use where props are made available.
- Freeze Life Pictures will provide cleaning facilities for customers to clean the props.
